About Our Organization

The Sierra School of San Diego operates under Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI).

SESI Schools offer tailored educational programs for K-12 students who need extra academic and behavioral support to succeed in a conventional school environment.

The Role


The Inclusive Education Instructor will be tasked with delivering academic, emotional, and physical assistance to students who need additional resources to excel in their education.

This role involves conducting regular assessments, utilizing data to create and execute instructional strategies, and collaborating with school staff and families to enhance student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Include, but are not limited to:


Delivering knowledge and skills, fostering confidence and character, and addressing the needs of all students through SESI instructional frameworks, methodologies, and curricula.

Developing and sustaining lesson plans that are appropriate for various skill levels.

Employing assessment data to adjust both short-term and long-term educational plans to enhance all students' academic achievements.


Implementing the school's behavioral support and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques and crisis management to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Maintaining student records and documentation as mandated by SESI Schools and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

Monitoring, recording, and tracking student progress towards their educational goals.

Collaborating with colleagues to cultivate an environment that encourages critical thinking and academic excellence.

Engaging in daily school operations such as morning, lunch, and afternoon supervisory responsibilities.

Light lifting, walking, and/or climbing stairs may be necessary.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

A commitment to learning and applying feedback is essential.

The ability to adapt and maintain flexibility is crucial.
