Position: Special Education Instructor

Position Details

This is a full-time, exempt role reporting to the Director of Education.

As a Special Education Instructor, you will bring innovation and creativity to meet the needs of diverse learners. Your positive outlook and collaborative approach will be key in supporting students' transitions to less restrictive environments, ensuring they achieve optimal self-reliance and quality of life.

Qualifications & Responsibilities

  • Possession of a valid CA Special Education Teaching Credential (Mild-Moderate or Extensive Support Needs) or eligibility to obtain a college internship or valid CA credential.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a team to uphold academic integrity and ensure aligned learning experiences for students.
  • Strong knowledge of social-emotional development, positive behavior support, and classroom management techniques.
  • Design and implement a variety of educational and emotional learning experiences tailored to classroom needs.
  • Willingness to learn, reflect, and engage in feedback within a dynamic educational environment.
  • Active participation in daily interactions with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to utilize technology for organizing instructional materials and data collection.
  • Critical thinking skills and capacity to work independently.
  • Valid California Driver's License and a clean DMV record.
  • TB Clearance and DOJ Background check clearance.

Compensation

  • The monthly salary range for this position is $6,785 - $8,337. The specific salary offered will be based on various factors, including the scope of responsibilities, candidate qualifications, internal equity, and applicable agreements.
  • This salary range represents base compensation and is part of a comprehensive rewards package, details of which will be discussed during the hiring process.
