ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR FOR COMMUNITY EDUCATION (Non-Credit Courses)

San Diego Community College District

Position Overview:
We are seeking qualified individuals to join our pool of adjunct instructors for community education courses that are designed to enrich the lives of adult learners. These non-credit classes encompass a wide range of subjects aimed at personal and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging instruction aligned with established course outlines.
  • Maintain a professional learning environment that fosters student engagement and open dialogue.
  • Be available for student consultations outside of scheduled class times.
  • Uphold high standards of academic integrity and professionalism.
  • Keep abreast of developments in your subject area to provide current and relevant instruction.
  • Accurately document student attendance and performance.


Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
Applicants must possess the necessary qualifications to teach in their respective subject areas. This includes having relevant educational credentials or experience in the field.

Desired Qualifications:
Possession of a valid California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation:
Salary placement is determined based on qualifications and experience, with adjustments made upon receipt of official transcripts.
