Community Housing Program Supervisor

The Community Housing Program Supervisor, reporting to the Director of Family Services, will be responsible for the comprehensive management and coordination of the program. This includes the strategic planning, organization, leadership, and oversight of all program activities. The Supervisor will ensure that the program meets its objectives and will provide monthly performance reports to Senior Management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Family Engagement - Conduct regular home visits alongside case managers to assess family stability and ensure their essential needs for housing, clothing, and food are met. Establish and nurture trust with families, leveraging their strengths to support their needs while effectively addressing crises. Report any instances of child abuse or neglect and assist families in making necessary behavioral changes or connect them with appropriate resources.
- Staff Oversight and Case Management - Facilitate weekly meetings with staff to evaluate their caseloads and identify significant challenges faced by families. Collaborate with case managers to determine actionable steps based on intake summaries. Regularly monitor data systems to ensure accurate documentation of family interactions during home visits, and support case managers in securing necessary resources for clients.
- Resource Identification and Referral - Research and identify community resources to address client needs. Maintain an updated directory of local programs, schools, civic organizations, and businesses that can assist clients with food, clothing, housing, employment, and furniture. Provide support for housing relocation in collaboration with landlords and ensure 24-hour accommodation options for homeless clients that offer rehabilitative and supportive services aimed at stabilization. Foster relationships with external agencies to enhance the mission of Collaborative Solutions for Communities and advocate for client services.
- Crisis Response - Offer emergency support to clients in need, assessing the urgency of situations and responding appropriately. Ensure timely intervention in critical circumstances.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, or Psychology is required.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience in community-based social services or related fields such as child development, family relations, or behavioral health is necessary. Candidates with a combination of education and experience in social work, education, or psychology will also be considered. Familiarity with community resources and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
