Position Overview

The Business Continuity Officer is responsible for overseeing the governance of all protective measures within the organization. Key responsibilities include formulating program policies, refining processes, and delivering risk assessments to enhance organizational resilience. The ideal candidate will possess a background in business continuity, risk management, and compliance, along with strong project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate, enhance, and uphold program-level policies and procedures
  • Articulate requirements and spearhead projects for policy implementation
  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of IDB's products, systems, and operational processes
  • Provide insights on BC/DR risks and compliance data
  • Facilitate tabletop and functional exercises across various business units
  • Identify and apply measurable metrics to enhance resilience
  • Design and deliver training on business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Implement tools to support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR)
  • Take a leadership role in incident response and coordination efforts
  • Communicate with senior management regarding plan progress
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure a thorough understanding of plans
Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, and risk management
  • Bachelor's degree in Technology or Risk-related fields
  • Familiarity with FFIEC guidelines and business continuity planning
  • Experience in the financial or banking sector is preferred
  • Strong skills in project planning and management
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment
  • Experience in conducting exercises across business functions
  • Preferred certifications such as CBCP, ISO22301, CRISC
Compensation:

The anticipated annual salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $160,000. Our comprehensive rewards package includes eligibility for annual bonuses, as well as medical, dental, and vision plans.
