Deli Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deli Department Manager to join our team at Lowes Foods. As a Deli Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the deli department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our products meet the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Service: Ensure that our guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli department staff, providing a positive and welcoming experience in our store.
- Sales and Profitability: Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the deli department, driving business growth and revenue.
- Inventory Management: Maintain the desired level of inventory and supplies, ensuring that our products are always available and of the highest quality.
- Operational Excellence: Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs, ensuring that our standards are met and exceeded.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards, maintaining the highest level of quality and freshness.
- Safety and Sanitation: Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our guests and staff.
- Staff Development: Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to ensure deli department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards, driving employee growth and development.
- Product Preparation: Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards, ensuring that our products are always available and of the highest quality.
- Labor Management: Maintain the department's labor budget and scheduling standards, ensuring that our labor costs are optimized and our staff are utilized effectively.
- Communication: Perform PA announcements and communicate effectively with the Store Manager and Merchandiser, ensuring that our team is informed and aligned.
- Personality: Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well with others, building strong relationships with our guests and staff.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally, with the ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of deli operations, supervisory skills, and the ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, with a minimum age of 18 years old.
