Position Overview

We are in search of a seasoned Construction Cost Analyst and Project Supervisor to operate from our headquarters, possessing the following key attributes:

As a Construction Cost Analyst and Project Supervisor, you will play a vital role in enhancing our brand through quality interactions with clients, nurturing relationships during the estimation phase, and supporting Groen leadership in securing projects and overseeing their execution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in construction estimation, project oversight, exceptional communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate construction plans and specifications.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs for designated trades.
  • Utilize on-screen takeoff software as available.
  • Develop initial estimates based on limited design documents.
  • Reduce dependence on subcontractor input.
  • Encourage subcontractor interest in projects.
  • Oversee the subcontractor RFP process.
  • Assess and qualify subcontractor proposals according to project requirements.
  • Detail trade-specific scopes of work.
  • Create thorough bid packages.
  • Prepare comprehensive project schedules.
  • Continuously promote the company and identify future growth avenues.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and local authorities.
  • Comprehend project goals, timelines, permits, and costs.
  • Apply project management principles to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate resources, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and promptly address any issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience (10+ years).
  • Extensive understanding of commercial construction industry practices, procedures, and market dynamics.
  • Experience in conceptual budgeting.
  • Assume full responsibility for work outcomes.
  • Effectively manage and direct team members.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and precision.
  • Proficient in commercial estimating software (e.g., ProCore).
  • Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to align resources and timelines.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and writing skills.
