Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computer User Support Specialist I to join our team at MdStad. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, implementing, and maintaining personal computer hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot computer problems, monitor computer processing systems, and install software and hardware.
  • Perform tests on computer equipment and programs, and learn to perform tasks with minimal training.
  • Install and maintain computers, printers, copiers, and related IT equipment.
  • Handle day-to-day help desk calls and staff IT problems.
  • Terminate and punch down Ethernet cables.
  • Create and maintain user training material.
  • Assist in training users on new software and hardware.
  • Troubleshoot Apple IOS and Google Android related issues.
  • Maintain records of inventory of users' computer and other IT equipment.
  • Interpret users' responses to diagnostic questions and determine appropriate course of action.
  • Data input into CMMS, update assets, and other IT administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED certification.
  • Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • AS/AA in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to two (2) years of experience evaluating, implementing, and maintaining computer hardware and software.
Working Conditions

The primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting, to walk, stand, or sit for prolonged periods of time, to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist, to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate to heavy amounts of weight up to 50 pounds, to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination, including the use of computer keyboards and calculators, to operate a vehicle to travel to various locations, and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
