Position Overview:

Work Schedule:
- Full Time Evening
- Monday to Sunday
- Shift times vary
- Rotating Holiday Assignments

Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and verify patient information through various channels including phone and online systems.
- Ensure accurate registration for outpatient services and confirm insurance eligibility.
- Discuss Advanced Beneficiary Notices (ABN) when necessary.
- Obtain necessary pre-certifications for scheduled outpatient procedures.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant State and Federal regulations.
- Manage work queue functions and follow up on any denials.
- Address inquiries via phone, fax, and email, and respond to correspondence.
- Escalate patient cases to financial counselors as needed.
- Collaborate with physician offices to secure pre-certification and additional clinical information.
- Perform other related duties that contribute to continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Familiarity with the healthcare revenue cycle is preferred.
- Understanding of insurance processes is advantageous.
- One to two years of experience in nursing or patient access roles is desirable.
