Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Inspector for Construction will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of construction projects. This position involves a comprehensive evaluation of contractor activities and adherence to established standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough inspections throughout all stages of construction to verify compliance with engineering guidelines, safety protocols, and project timelines. 2. Identify, document, and communicate any discrepancies, defects, or non-compliance issues to the project management team. 3. Maintain meticulous records of inspections and generate detailed reports for stakeholders. 4. Collaborate with contractors to implement corrective measures and promote continuous improvement in construction methodologies. 5. Supervise all contractors on-site to ensure adherence to compliance standards.

6. Prepare daily reports that include descriptions of contractor activities, labor and equipment usage, and perform various measurements for payment purposes. 7. Execute field inspections and maintain records for special materials or equipment requiring additional oversight as determined by project management. 8. Capture daily photographs and ensure that contract documentation is updated on the shared drive. 9. Review planned versus actual project schedules and keep relevant parties informed of any potential risks to timelines. 10. Verify contractor compliance with necessary regulatory or third-party inspections. 11. Interpret construction drawings and specifications effectively.

Engage in communication with contractors, supervisors, and fellow inspectors regarding specifications and test results, as well as site progress.

Maintain field notes and associated documentation to ensure compliance with design-build documents. Provide field data, assess existing conditions, and offer recommendations for field modifications while investigating claims related to existing conditions or changes proposed by contractors.


Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is required. A minimum of [10] years of experience in construction inspection and quality assurance is essential. Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of construction practices, materials, and standards, along with familiarity with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. Strong attention to detail, excellent observational skills, and effective communication abilities are critical. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team is necessary. Certification in construction inspection (e.g., ICC, ACI) is advantageous.
