POSITION SUMMARY: This role is essential within the Quality and manufacturing team, ensuring that our clients receive products of the utmost quality.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducts final evaluations of finished goods before they are dispatched.
  • Performs setup validation and initial inspections as required in sub-assembly production areas.
  • Interprets and utilizes blueprints for product assessment.
  • Assists production staff in upholding necessary quality benchmarks.
  • Executes incoming inspection of assigned purchased materials.
  • Implements product rejection protocols for in-process, final, and incoming evaluations.
  • Reassesses returned purchased items to confirm compliance.
  • Documents internal product discrepancies in the designated data logs.
  • Identifies nonconforming items according to established internal procedures.
  • Collaborates with Quality Engineers and Manufacturing teams on problem-solving as needed.
  • Performs system transactions related to product discrepancies and rejections.
  • Contributes to quality issue resolution and investigations as directed by Quality Engineers or Quality Managers.
  • Supports organizational safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 70% proficiency in Blueprint Reading, Gage Inspection, Mathematics, and Color Acuity.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, reading measurement scales) is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office and Outlook.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to aid in product and process evaluations.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for interaction with all manufacturing and management personnel.
  • Ability to audit processes for adherence to standards.
  • Proficient in both oral and written communication.
  • Willingness to work regular and overtime schedules as determined by supervision.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Consistently prioritize tasks based on daily schedules or urgency.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Required to stand or walk for the entire shift, excluding scheduled breaks or computer tasks.
  • Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Able to maneuver objects weighing over 75 pounds to inspect critical features during final evaluations.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and stoop as necessary.
  • Exposure to heat, dust, noise, and sudden loud sounds is expected.
  • Safety glasses with side shields are mandatory.
  • Hearing protection is necessary in designated areas.
  • Specialized training may be required (such as Hi-Lo operation).
