POSITION SUMMARY: This role is an essential part of the Quality and manufacturing team, ensuring that our clients receive products of the utmost quality.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducts final assessments of finished goods before they are dispatched.
  • Performs setup verification and initial inspections as directed in sub-assembly production areas.
  • Interprets and utilizes blueprints for product evaluations.
  • Assists production staff in upholding the necessary quality benchmarks.
  • Carries out receiving inspections of assigned purchased items.
  • Implements product rejection protocols for in-process, final, and incoming inspections.
  • Re-evaluates returned purchased items to confirm compliance.
  • Documents internal product discrepancies in the relevant data collection logs.
  • Identifies nonconforming products according to established internal procedures.
  • Collaborates with Quality Engineers and Manufacturing teams on problem investigations as needed.
  • Executes system transactions related to product nonconformance or rejection.
  • Supports quality problem-solving and investigations as directed by the Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.
  • Contributes to the company's safety, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 70% proficiency in Blueprint Reading, Gage Inspection, Mathematics, and Color Acuity.
  • Preferred experience in manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, reading measurement scales) is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office and Outlook.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to aid in product and process investigations.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for interaction with all manufacturing and management personnel.
  • Capability to audit processes for compliance.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Willingness to work regular and overtime schedules as determined by supervision.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Regularly prioritize tasks based on daily schedules or urgency.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Standing or walking for the entirety of the shift, except during scheduled breaks or computer tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Capable of moving objects weighing over 75 pounds to inspect critical characteristics during final evaluations.
  • Able to twist, bend, and stoop as necessary.
  • Exposure to heat, dust, noise, and sudden loud sounds.
  • Safety glasses with side shields are mandatory.
  • Hearing protection is required in designated areas.
  • Specialized training may be necessary (such as Hi-Lo).
