The Customer Support Specialist will be an integral part of a service desk operations team, acting as the primary point of contact for client assistance. Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to or escalate inquiries from military families, Department of Defense personnel, and the public in a prompt and courteous manner. Inquiries may be received via phone calls, emails, or faxes.
- Identify core issues and apply the appropriate procedures to resolve them effectively.
- Handle sensitive communications with respect and patience.
- Document all interactions within an established case management system.
- Maintain and update records as communications and documents are received.
- Escalate inquiries to government officials when necessary.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Arlington National Cemetery and maintain ongoing knowledge.
- Provide general information, directions, and various forms of assistance to the public.
- Work under the guidance of the Team Lead.
- Experience in assisting grieving families is preferred.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the hospitality sector or customer service is preferred.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Office).
- Security Clearance: Active or Interim Secret
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
