Compensation and potential overtime are based on experience and location, with opportunities available throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Salary Range - $56,000 - $70,000

Should the selected individual possess qualifications that align with a more advanced level in the career trajectory, the job classification may be adjusted accordingly.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, agricultural machinery such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors; or military heavy equipment like MRAP vehicles, HMEE, or tanks; aircraft and aerospace ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) or similar
  • Prior experience in mechanical and/or equipment servicing
  • Educational background in mechanics, electrical, or hydraulic systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components as needed
  • Utilize all available technical resources (such as operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, procedural determination, and parts identification
  • Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and prepare reports
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Perform all tasks in strict accordance with Altec Safety protocols
  • Inform supervisors of any issues that may affect customer relations
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive information on all required documentation
  • Exemplify Altec Company Values in all interactions
  • Complete additional duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational abilities
  • Physical capability to handle objects and tools weighing up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling
  • High level of dexterity
  • As necessary, provide basic tools in accordance with Altec's tool policy
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles
  • Develop basic computer skills with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to support customers by working overtime
  • Promote safety in all activities
