Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, agricultural equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors; or military heavy machinery like MRAP vehicles, HMEE, or tanks; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) or similar
  • Prior experience in mechanical or equipment service roles
  • Educational background in mechanics, electrical, or hydraulic systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components as needed
  • Utilize all available technical resources (such as operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying necessary parts for repairs
  • Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and prepare Reports
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Execute all tasks in accordance with Altec Safety practices and protocols
  • Inform supervisors of any situations that may affect customer relations
  • Provide accurate and complete information on all required documentation
  • Exemplify Altec Company Values in all interactions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Essential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and move objects and tools weighing up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling
  • High level of dexterity required
  • Possess basic tools as per Altec tool policy
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to work overtime to support customer needs
  • Commitment to safety in all operations
