Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, or construction and agricultural machinery such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors; military heavy equipment; or aircraft and ground support equipment
  • Prior experience in mechanical or equipment service roles
  • Educational background in mechanics, electrical, or hydraulic systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components as needed
  • Utilize technical resources (such as operator manuals, parts catalogs, and maintenance guides) for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and generate reports
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Perform all tasks in alignment with Altec Safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any issues that may affect customer relations
  • Provide thorough and accurate documentation for all required reports
  • Embody Altec Company Values in all interactions
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned

Essential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling required
  • High level of manual dexterity
  • Possess basic tools as per Altec's tool policy
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to work overtime to support customer needs
  • Commitment to safety in all aspects of work
