Job Summary

Geisinger Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in the Orthopedic and Adult Advanced Acute Care Unit. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, treatments, and diagnostic studies, in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, addressing their physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning.
  • Collaborate with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Make assignments and direct team members in response to changes in patient situations.
  • Participate in unit-based decision-making and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support Certification and Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
