Job Summary:
Geisinger Health System is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Advanced Acute Care team at Geisinger Community Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and guide patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure.
- Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Formulate, coordinate, and provide a plan of care as established in unit standards, including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise the plan of care based on patient response to interventions.
- Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs.
- Make assignments in collaboration with other team members and direct and alter assignments in response to changes in patient needs.
Requirements:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program-Nursing.
- Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification, Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania).
