Position Overview:


The Patient Care Associate will support individuals in obtaining their prescriptions and facilitate transactions through the Point of Sale (POS) system.

This role is situated within a healthcare environment, emphasizing patient interaction and service excellence.

Operational Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8AM-5PM & Friday: 8AM-12PM

No weekend or holiday shifts required

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver outstanding customer service by recognizing, assisting, and demonstrating empathy and professionalism to a diverse clientele both in-person and via phone
Utilize the cash register through the POS system
Accurately balance the cash drawer at the end of each day
Ensure timely and correct handling of daily deposits for all POS registers
Process and enter daily orders from suppliers
Assist with routine inventory management tasks
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Ensure pharmacy equipment is managed according to company standards
Receive prescription orders and verify information for completeness and accuracy
Keep temperature logs for pharmacy and medication storage
Communicate effectively with other pharmacy team members
Coordinate and monitor daily prescription deliveries and/or pick-up orders
Guarantee all deliveries are executed accurately and punctually
Proactively identify issues, escalate when necessary, and propose effective solutions
Manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment using various computer applications and interacting with patients
Perform additional related duties as assigned

Candidate Profile:
High School Diploma or equivalent; or one or more years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience
Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable
Experience with cashiering using POS software
Prior experience in retail pharmacy is advantageous; familiarity with shipping and packaging is a plus
Strong communication and customer service abilities
Proficient in MS Office Suite including Word, spreadsheet software; inventory management software; internet applications; order processing systems
Excellent typing and data entry skills
Able to lift and carry light to medium-weight items
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy, fast-paced environment
Proactive in identifying and analyzing issues and providing solutions

Compensation:
$15.00 to $17.00 per hour, based on qualifications and location
