Job Summary

Bergelectric is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead our electrical construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating construction operations, purchases, financial reporting, and project controls activities for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and negotiate project contracts, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement project controls, budgets, and schedules, collaborating with operational subordinates to ensure timely completion.
  • Execute major project purchases, including development of purchasing goals, product data submittals, and material releases.
  • Manage project profitability, conducting predictive analysis and revenue, cost, and profit forecasting.
  • Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans and actual work.
  • Develop and implement quality control programs, ensuring adherence to company and project owner safety and environmental policies.
  • Regularly visit projects to assess performance, progress, and quality, ensuring connectivity with the field and clients.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, oversee progress, and cost reports, ensuring proper administration of payroll, material/subcontractor payments, and owner progress and final payments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers at clients, architectural and engineering firms, and trade partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and tools required for electrical construction.
  • Experience managing projects over $3 million and experience managing large Commercial, Institutional, and/or Federal projects preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the NEC and fluency in estimating processes.
  • Ability to understand, manage, and abide by contracts and subcontracts.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Facilitate, negotiate, and execute buyouts of major purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Ability to oversee and effectively manage low-voltage work and subcontractors.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, judgment, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate personnel.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, project management, and estimating software.
Working Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment and may require visits to construction sites, which may involve varying weather conditions and high noise levels.
