Position Overview:
This role involves familiarity with various product lines, with a potential focus on a specific line to cultivate product knowledge. The individual will work autonomously with minimal oversight, having successfully overseen medium-scale projects and independently conducted sales presentations. Responsibilities include quoting and addressing service-related concerns. The ability to tackle more intricate tasks is becoming routine. Occasional travel is expected, and the role may include training others or performing FEA/design calculations in a hybrid capacity. Flexibility in work hours is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Level II:
Service - Managing production alongside problem-solving and preventive measures.

1. Resource Management (Material and Personnel)

a. Daily communication with shop personnel, QA/QC inspectors, and engineering teams.

b. Engaging with clients to ensure first-time quality delivery.

c. Collaborating with leadership to set and achieve objectives, driving improvements within and outside the engineering department.

d.

Actively participating in product design and development, including reviewing technical specifications, ensuring cost-effective manufacturing processes, and efficient testing for product quality.


2. Resource Scheduling, Output Management, and Reporting

a. Maintain open communication across the organization by updating management on project status and coordinating Lean initiatives.

b. Develop metrics, deployment goals, and objectives to enhance accountability within the project team.

c. Organize, plan, review, and report on the status of managed projects.

d. Engage in defining product requirements and conducting reviews.

e. Participate as a reviewer in the design evaluation process.

3. Continuous Improvement

a. Identify, assess, and implement product enhancements.

b. Collaborate with management to establish continuous improvement objectives and overall direction.

c. Work with other functional leaders, employees, and clients to uncover significant Lean improvement opportunities throughout the organization.

d. Lead meetings and process improvement teams.

4. Equipment & Process Maintenance

a. Develop and uphold methods for tracking progress to ensure project goals, objectives, and metrics are consistently met.

5. Professional Development (Self and Team)

a. Exemplify operational excellence, demonstrating leadership and technical proficiency.

Qualifications:


To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess the necessary knowledge, training, experience, and skills.

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:

1-15 years.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • International travel may be necessary.
  • Domestic travel may be required.
  • Local travel may be necessary.
  • Minimal travel may be required.

Duties are performed indoors in a manufacturing environment with temperature variations. Exposure to hazardous materials, fumes, airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts may occur.

Salary Range

$65,000 - $110,000
