Job Summary

This position oversees the Maintenance Department to support the manufacturing facility and corporate offices of O-AT-KA Milk Products LLC. The successful candidate will direct the department to provide cost-efficient maintenance services, ensuring all processing and equipment are safe and reliable to maximize production and meet quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all functions of the Maintenance Department, including engineering, maintenance shifts, and facilities management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance shift supervisors and employees to achieve departmental and facility objectives.
  • Develop and implement a long-term maintenance strategy for the facility, including preventative maintenance programs and equipment upgrades.
  • Manage the requisition of parts, tools, equipment, and supplies required for efficient operation and uninterrupted production.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of mechanics and workers engaged in repairs, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with company, federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Collaborate with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.
  • Develop and manage department budgets and monitor expenditure of funds to maintain costs within budget targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years direct related experience, including a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, contractor agreements, and professional journals.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of directors, managers, and customers.
  • Knowledge of PM and Order processing systems, CMMS, spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
Work Environment

The Maintenance Manager will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee will be required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $93,206 to $130,489 per year.
