Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for coordinating procurement activities related to subcontract decisions. This includes procuring raw materials, finished goods, and services that support subcontract decisions. Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate procurement activities related to subcontract decisions

  • Identify, interview, and maintain files and records for suppliers
  • Troubleshoot and expedite as necessary
  • Manage personal performance by setting goals and expectations

  • Maintain supply base required documentation and information
  • Resource scheduling, output management, and reporting
  • Reviews and analyzes requirements to assure adequate project compliance and delivery

  • Acts as the liaison between the supplier, engineering, document control, and quality

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or other relevant field
  • 5+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 10+ years of on-the-job experience in lieu of formal education
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • Ability to manage external suppliers
  • Ability to manage project budget and control expenses
  • Ability to project manage in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction as a highly motivated self-starter and within a team-oriented culture
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company matters
  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction, takes responsibility for own actions, keeps commitments, commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals, completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan
