Job Overview

The role involves conducting advanced analysis and modeling to mitigate loss exposure and enhance customer satisfaction. The primary duties include leveraging various systems such as Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and other relational databases to deliver analytical insights that support strategic initiatives, ensure objectives are achieved, and recommend policy and procedural modifications within segmentation frameworks for optimal outcomes. Responsibilities also encompass evaluating data to identify potential fraud risks and developing strategies for mitigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Suggests methods to assist the organization in achieving its goals and making informed decisions through data analysis results.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis of financial models, market data, financial metrics, and portfolio trends to assess product performance and enhance portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversees the preparation of product performance reports and updates for executive management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative capabilities with a proven track record of utilizing data and metrics to identify underlying issues.
  • Fundamental understanding of first and third-party fraud (including claims to charge-off timing, chargeback recovery rights, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Comprehensive financial knowledge and understanding of fraud loss factors.
  • Proficient in programming languages (e.g., SAS or SQL) and experienced with e-Ledger and Enterprise GL tools (EPM).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced studies in finance, accounting, or business management is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fraud analysis and/or analytical/financial roles.
  • Exceptional quantitative, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
  • Comfort with finance and accounting principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate leadership.
  • Capability to engage and interact professionally with senior-level personnel across the organization.
  • Proficient in presenting, leading, supporting, and influencing senior management and business stakeholders.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to challenge conventional practices.
  • Leadership and management skills, including team and individual development.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive in identifying, analyzing, and enhancing existing processes for optimization to meet deadlines.
