Position Summary


Urbanex is looking for a highly organized and proactive Billing Team Lead to become part of our Nashville division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in billing and collections, along with leadership capabilities to effectively manage team members. This position requires a self-motivated individual with outstanding communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and guide the billing and collections team, offering support, direction, and training as necessary.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to enhance billing and collections processes, focusing on efficiency and best practices.
  • Review accounts receivable aging reports and proactively address overdue accounts.
  • Compile and present regular updates on billing and collections performance to senior management, emphasizing key metrics and areas for enhancement.
  • Build and maintain client relationships to resolve payment issues and foster customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate team schedules and manage workload distribution to ensure prompt responses to customer inquiries.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in billing, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of billing and collections processes, including invoicing, payment posting, and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and driving performance improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with customers and team members at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with billing software or ERP systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights for performance enhancement.
  • Experience with customer service software and tools, with CRM system knowledge preferred.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as required to support team operations.
