Job Description

**Job Summary**

Rainmaker Resources, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Internal Auditor to join our team. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the company's internal controls and risk management processes are effective and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits of company operating locations to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Analyze business risks and implement a travel time and territory management plan to address the most important risks.
  • Support the execution of the annual internal audit plan by performing individual internal audit projects.
  • Develop and implement internal audit procedures and prepare internal audit reports.
  • Ensure audit work is of a quality standard and that audit processes are those established by the company.
  • Conduct fraud investigations, special audits, and other projects as directed and coordinated with management and legal authorities as required.
  • Assist, train, and instruct company management and commission agents in proper company accounting, reporting, operating, and internal control procedures.
  • Complete audit reports for general distribution to management at all levels.
  • Ensure audit issues identified are tracked to closure.
  • Provide input on, updates, and implement updated audit program to ensure audit programs continually stay current with company policies, procedures, practices, and internal controls needs.
  • Assist with the planning process and ensure that these plans are completed on time and with the required level of quality.
  • Maintain good working relationships with appropriate management and company personnel within the company.

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or equivalent.
  • Certification in at least one area is desirable but not essential (i.e. CIA, CFE, CPA, & CRMA).
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
  • 2 years minimum relevant experience within an audit environment is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and evaluation skills to successfully and correctly identify risks and prioritize action based on risk extent to resolve high-risk performance issues throughout the company.
  • Demonstrate a detailed knowledge of company policies, procedures, guidelines, and the ability to accurately interpret and communicate them verbally and in written form.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to communicate findings with auditees and all levels of management.
  • Excellent report writing ability.
  • Detail-oriented and deadline-driven to accomplish department and personal objectives.
  • Proven record as a self-starter. Self-motivated and able to work effectively for long periods of time alone and with other auditors in order to accomplish the internal audit plan in a timely manner.
  • Personal computer skills are required - intermediate-advanced skills in Excel, Word, etc.
