Job Overview

The Senior Auditor will play a pivotal role in the IPO readiness process at Rainmaker Resources, LLC. Reporting directly to the Director of Internal Audit, this position is crucial for ensuring compliance and operational efficiency across various divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit Leadership: Lead comprehensive internal audit projects that align with the overall audit strategy, overseeing the work of junior auditors.
  • Scope Development: Formulate the internal audit scope, guiding the planning and execution of audits while preparing detailed audit reports.
  • Risk Assessment: Actively contribute to the annual Internal Audit Plan by identifying and analyzing risks affecting different business areas.
  • Fieldwork Coordination: Ensure timely and accurate completion of fieldwork, assessing the effectiveness of controls designed to mitigate operational risks.
  • Documentation: Gather and document evidence to support audit findings, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to validate issues.
  • Ad Hoc Reviews: Conduct special audit reviews and fraud investigations as required, working in conjunction with internal and external teams.
  • Resource Management: Effectively manage time and audit resources to deliver high-quality results within established timelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • CPA certification is mandatory.
  • Additional certifications such as CIA, CFE, CRMA, or CMA are preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in external or internal auditing, with a focus on operational or financial processes; Big 4 experience is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial processes and internal controls.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word; familiarity with JD Edwards ERP is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting or private industry, with a strong understanding of accounting and internal control.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities to advocate for constructive changes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of internal control frameworks and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
