POSITION TITLE: Internal Auditor II

DEPARTMENT: Finance and Accounting

REPORTS TO: Senior Manager, Internal Auditor

POSITION SUMMARY

The Internal Auditor II plays a crucial role in executing internal audits as part of the comprehensive internal audit strategy. This position entails conducting risk evaluations, formulating audit scopes, implementing internal audit procedures, and compiling audit reports that detail the findings from the audits conducted. The role encompasses a review of various corporate and divisional business units, concentrating on both financial and operational processes. Furthermore, the Internal Auditor II is tasked with monitoring the resolution of pending internal audit issues and supporting audit management in preparing reports for the Audit Committee, as well as contributing to the development of the annual internal audit strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess and analyze the adequacy and efficiency of internal controls across financial and operational domains.
  • Implement projects outlined in the annual internal audit strategy sanctioned by the Audit Committee.
  • Conduct testing of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Document audit workpapers in alignment with departmental standards.
  • Identify findings and control weaknesses, and formulate corrective action plans.
  • Coordinate year-end controls audit with management and external auditors.
  • Guide and mentor other members of the internal audit team.
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities to advocate for recommendations and secure management endorsement.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of audit deliverables.
  • Engage in special projects, including due diligence for acquisitions, fraud investigations, and other assignments as directed.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in auditing is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with peers and management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Intermediate understanding of financial processes and associated controls.
  • Familiarity with internal auditing standards, PCAOB requirements, and COSO/COBIT frameworks.
  • Knowledge of audit principles, SEC regulations, and US GAAP.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating with diverse teams.
