At UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, we're dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and innovative treatments. As a Patient Service Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with rooming, collecting vitals, and ensuring their comfort in a safe environment.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling patients, and managing check-ins and check-outs.
  • Coordinate the ordering of blood products in collaboration with RNs, Blood Bank, and Laboratory.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary activities such as staff meetings and other committees as assigned.
  • Provide front desk coverage as assigned and continuously monitor the environment to ensure the appearance, comfort, and safety of the clinic.
Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three years of direct patient care and/or phlebotomy experience.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic, and treatment room responsibilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with individuals from multi-disciplinary groups.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy licensure preferred.
  • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Act 34.
