Patient Access Coordinator

Join Metro Community Health Center as a Patient Access Specialist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient access to our healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, building strong relationships and addressing their needs with empathy and professionalism.
- Collect and verify patient registration data, creating new patient charts and maintaining accurate insurance information.
- Collect co-pays, payments, and balances, applying patient payments to balances in our computer system.
- Check patients in and out for scheduled appointments, answering incoming calls and triaging calls within the department.
- Maintain compliance with all policies, procedures, and laws, ensuring accurate patient information and billing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA required.
- Successful completion of a medical receptionist or related program or 1 year of medical office experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, and talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
