We are in search of a highly skilled and passionate Vice President of University Relations and Administration for an exceptional opportunity at a prestigious private University. About Our Organization
Chapel Hill Solutions represents a vibrant University environment where each student is provided with an outstanding education supported by a nurturing community. The Administration Office is looking for a pivotal executive to offer strategic guidance in the planning and execution of stakeholder relations and university initiatives that align with the institution's mission. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President will manage Development, Alumni Relations, and Corporate/Foundation Partnerships, aiming to enhance the University’s network of collaborations and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Articulate and embody the mission and values of the University while possessing comprehensive knowledge of its programs and departments.
- Foster relationships with the Board, alumni, faculty, staff, student families, and community stakeholders to advocate for the University.
- Lead a dynamic and established team in all aspects of fundraising, including cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
- Develop effective programs that enhance engagement, commitment, and support for the University.
- Oversee and inspire a professional staff to ensure cohesive efforts and achievement of objectives.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work during weekends as needed.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of demonstrated leadership in advancement, ideally within higher education, with substantial experience in major gifts, capital campaigns, alumni relations, and planned giving.
- 10+ years of management experience in an academic or similar environment.
- A Master’s Degree is required; a Doctorate or PhD from an accredited institution is strongly preferred.
- Proven financial acumen with a track record of providing oversight and leadership.
- Strong leadership capabilities with strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Exceptional communication and public speaking skills to effectively promote a vision and inspire a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills to build strong relationships based on trust and credibility, ideally with an understanding of the dynamics of a small, high-quality university.
