Job Summary:

The Vice Chancellor for Research will lead the research enterprise at North Carolina A&T State University, overseeing all aspects of research and innovation. This includes identifying funding opportunities, developing and submitting proposals, managing research compliance, and overseeing project setup, monitoring, and closeout.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the research enterprise at North Carolina A&T State University
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities
  • Develop and submit proposals for research grants and contracts
  • Manage research compliance and ensure adherence to university policies and procedures
  • Oversee project setup, monitoring, and closeout
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement research initiatives
  • Develop and manage budgets for research projects
  • Supervise and manage research staff and faculty

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in a relevant field
  • 10 years of experience in research leadership and administration
  • Experience working with governmental agencies and funding mechanisms
  • Documented research accomplishments and experience leading teams
  • Excellent leadership, strategic planning, budgeting, and personnel management skills
