Executive Director of Federal Initiatives

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a seasoned executive to lead our Federal Civilian Business Group and drive organic growth, implement robust program management processes, contribute to effective corporate governance, promote a healthy, transparent, and supportive company culture, and maintain critical infrastructure at a dynamic, rapid-growth company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership and oversight to the company's Federal Civilian Business Group.
  • Drive company growth in the Federal Civilian program area.
  • Assume accountability for profit and loss for all programs under the Federal Civilian Business Group.
  • Expand the Business Unit through organic growth and new growth initiatives.
  • Improve company business development processes and maturity.
  • Lead, develop and coach employees and teams to preserve company culture and optimize program performance.
  • Ensure corporate stewardship.
  • Drive corporate strategy.
  • Identify/mitigate corporate risk.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 20+ years of professional experience; or 15 years of professional experience with a related Masters' degree. Must have demonstrated extensive educational concentration in the fields described above and extensive demonstrated experience of which at least 2/3 is specialized experience.
  • 5+ years of senior leadership experience required.
  • 5+ years of Federal Civilian delivery experience required.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of government proposal processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated clear written and verbal communication and attention to detail and thoroughness.
  • Position will be primarily remote with occasional days in MD office; require candidates in the MD/DC/VA area.
  • Extensive experience in software development lifecycle from inception to deployment.
  • Expertise in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated capability in managing multi-task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity.
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience conducting presentations for large groups of stakeholders.
  • Increasing responsibilities in information systems design and/or management.

About Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000-$160,000 per year, depending on experience.
