Role Summary

In the capacity of Marketing and Communications Project Specialist II, you will be essential in promoting the mission of the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF). Working under the supervision of the Director of Public Relations and Communications, you will collaborate with various departments and external partners to ensure the effective execution of strategic goals and program outcomes. Your responsibilities will include a diverse array of projects, from formulating communication strategies to overseeing marketing initiatives, all while ensuring that our messaging is consistent with NBDF's values and branding standards.

Your contributions will be crucial in maintaining a unified brand identity, creating engaging content, and supporting initiatives that positively impact the community we serve. Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead project planning and execution with a proactive approach, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, analyze, track, forecast, and report on project metrics and deficiencies.
  • Provide regular updates on project status to team managers.
  • Anticipate communication requirements and work proactively to mitigate obstacles and facilitate solutions.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with various departments to achieve project goals within set timelines, fostering collaborative relationships.
  • Act as the coordinator for the weekly Webinar series in partnership with the Director of Public Relations and Communications.
  • Facilitate team meetings, providing agendas in advance and emphasizing key discussion points.
  • Manage and organize departmental correspondence.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new team members.

Content Development

  • Create and edit content as necessary to support various communication efforts.
  • Analyze data, offer recommendations, and implement data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

What You Bring: To be considered for this unique opportunity, the ideal candidate should possess the following experience and education:

  • 4-5 years of experience in strategic communications within a nonprofit, corporate, or healthcare environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in multimedia platforms and project management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional public speaking and writing skills, with a strong capability to quickly produce and edit engaging content, familiar with AP style.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure under pressure, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working professionally in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with tools such as HIVE, Sprout Social, Zoom, Restream, Canva, Mailchimp, Drupal, etc., is advantageous.

Work Environment:

This position is remote and open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S. Some travel may be required, including attendance at the annual Bleeding Disorders Conference.

  • Full-time employees receive three weeks (+) of vacation, four personal days, 12 sick days, 11 paid holidays, one floating holiday, and a week off during the holidays.

  • A pre-tax savings plan, including flexible spending accounts and commuter transit accounts, is available.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is set at $64,000-$70,000, non-negotiable, to maintain internal pay equity within the organization.
