Position Overview

The role of a Designer III encompasses the development of comprehensive drawing packages under the guidance of the Engineering team, specifically for natural gas compressor stations and pipeline systems.

This position entails a multi-disciplinary focus, with a significant emphasis on Piping/Mechanical aspects, particularly concerning well connections and modifications to small facilities such as compressor stations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain:

  • Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
  • Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Facility Plot Plans
  • Piping Plans
  • Bills of Materials
  • Piping Isometrics
  • Electrical Hazardous Area Classification (EAC) Plans
  • 3D CadWorx models
Required Skills

• Capacity to operate autonomously with minimal oversight.

• Understanding of operational and field environments, particularly in process plants, gathering systems, pipelines, and chemical facilities.

• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD.

• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) and other administrative tools.

• Strong analytical abilities, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to travel regularly (up to 30%) to local field sites and occasionally (up to 10%) to remote locations.

• Ability to manage a diverse array of complex tasks requiring experience, creativity, and sound judgment.

• Familiarity with relevant standards such as ASME B31.8 & B31.3, API 6D, ASME B16.5 & B16.9.

Education and Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in the oil and gas sector is essential.

• 5-7 years of AutoCAD experience is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with CadWorx Plant.

• At least 1 year of experience with CadWorx P&ID.
