Southwest Human Development is Arizona's largest nonprofit dedicated to early childhood development. The first five years of life are the most critical in a child's development. At Southwest Human Development, our services improve lives and help families by supporting young children and their caregivers during this important time.

Our mission is to provide guidance, coaching, and support to vulnerable families and children in their homes and communities throughout Maricopa County. We aim to assist parents with providing for their children's basic needs, preventing maltreatment, eliminating danger, and ultimately assisting families with sustainable self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete training in the Family Connections Practice Model.
  • Adhere to all aspects of the Family Connections Practice Model.
  • Complete all deliverables and paperwork timely.
  • Meet families and children in their homes and designated places in the community
  • Work collaboratively with DCS, community partners, and within the agency

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social work or related human service field, psychology, marriage and family, human services, etc.
  • 1 year of human services work-related experience.
  • Being bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
  • Experience working with diverse families.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of DCS.
  • Valid AZ Driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • A 3-year motor vehicle record is required.
  • A valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card OR must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
