Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated medical provider to serve as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Native American Connections. The ideal candidate will be aligned with our organization's environment and culture, focusing on fulfilling our mission, vision, and values.

The Family Nurse Practitioner is a key member of our Integrated Health team, providing medical services and helping to define the medical direction of the organization. This hybrid position offers primary care medical services in the office and via mobile unit to adults and children, ensuring the delivery of affordable quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Integrated Health staff to provide primary health care to clients, including obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, diagnosing, treating, and monitoring acute and chronic diseases.

Perform CLIA waived testing and determine the need for confirmatory tests.

Prepare specimens for send-out to referral facilities and maintain appropriate records and files.

Collaborate with Behavioral Health professionals for care coordination as needed.

Educate clients to promote positive health behaviors and disease prevention.

Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards.

Comply with patient and data confidentiality policies and regulations, including HIPPA.

Requirements:

A minimum of two years' experience providing medical services.

Experience in public sector healthcare or non-profit community health, with knowledge of Medicaid populations; experience working with Native Americans preferred.

A minimum of a master's degree in nursing and AZ Board of Nursing qualification as a Family Nurse Practitioner with an active and unrestricted license.

Salary Range: $120,000 to $140,000

Indian Preference: Preference may be given to qualified Native American Indians according to the Indian Preference Hiring Act, CFR 25 USC 472. Other than Indian Preference, Native American Connections, Inc. adheres to all provisions of the Equal Employment Opportunities Act.
