Role Overview: As a Senior Manager in IT Quality Assurance, you will collaborate closely with business leaders and IT partners to gain a comprehensive understanding of both business and technological objectives. Your role will involve staying informed about developments in your assigned business and technology areas, allowing you to proactively suggest future solutions and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee complex portfolios of systems, ensuring that validation activities comply with quality standards and best practices.
- Manage a segment of the IT Quality Assurance Program that influences multiple business sectors.
- Strategically coordinate validation efforts across various projects to align with business objectives and enhance efficiency.
- Provide mentorship to IT Quality Engineers involved in multiple projects.
- Utilize Gilead's test management tools effectively, understanding the processes and best practices for managing validation deliverables.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in validation, reviewing and approving specifications, protocols, and change controls to ensure compliance with Gilead's procedures and applicable regulations.
- Assist in developing and implementing both short-term and long-term strategies for IT Quality Assurance and compliance.
- Demonstrate knowledge of application development methodologies and project management processes.
- Support the principles of IT Quality Assurance to guarantee quality and compliance in business deliveries.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning across various portfolios.
- Collaborate with peers to identify opportunities for enhancing validation processes.
- Evaluate project activities and deliverables to ensure alignment with Gilead's requirements.
- Manage escalations and engage in project teams as necessary.
- Monitor metrics for proactive trend detection and assessment of testing effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and standards.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 6+ years with a Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, or Healthcare sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of global regulatory standards including GMP, GCP, GLP, and GDP.
- Proven leadership in Validation and Infrastructure qualification.
- Experience managing validation across multiple projects and supporting GxP assessments.
- Familiarity with validating ERP, Supply Chain, LIMS, and other relevant applications.
- Knowledge of AWS and Azure Cloud standards and experience with cloud-based system validation.
- Experience in managing complex Data Migration projects.
- Hands-on experience with Data Analytics platforms and data testing.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is competitive and considers various factors including experience and qualifications. This role may also be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
