Quality Assurance Engineer
On-site Position

As a pivotal member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our product development efforts by ensuring the creation of the safest and most dependable autonomous driving software. Your responsibilities will include managing the complete support workflow as developers introduce new features, which involves crafting comprehensive test plans, designing and executing simulated tests, and collaborating with various teams to address potential blockers or missing functionalities effectively. These initiatives are vital for uncovering unexpected failure modes, implementation errors, and other challenges that may arise during new feature development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for cross-engineering teams: Analyze and manage requests until resolution.
  • Conduct automation testing tasks to guarantee comprehensive functional test coverage.
  • Design, develop, and implement synthetic test scenarios using an in-house simulation testing framework.
  • Identify, monitor, report, and resolve testing issues in collaboration with cross-functional software development teams.
  • Provide failure metrics and analytical insights.
  • Automate manual processes throughout the test development workflow.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of failures and escalate regressions to the appropriate developers.
  • Create, validate, and maintain test plans to meet the needs of feature planning.

Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in software testing
* Expertise in designing and implementing scalable test strategies across multiple teams
* Proficient in automated testing frameworks and test automation
* Familiarity with GIT, command line tools, bug tracking and reporting systems, and Linux environments
* Proficient in Python, C++, or other scripting languages
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities
* Knowledge of U.S. road regulations; urban driving experience is advantageous.
