Role Overview

Visa Technology & Operations LLC is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (multiple openings) to contribute to our team in enhancing software quality and performance. The role encompasses:

  • Crafting and executing comprehensive test strategies and functional test scenarios based on business requirements, ensuring thorough coverage and automation.
  • Developing and implementing test automation frameworks utilizing C#.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining automation test suites across various technologies, including Mainframe and Open systems.
  • Improving and sustaining existing automation tools developed in REXX, C#, and VB.Net.
  • Utilizing diverse tools and logs to investigate and troubleshoot software defects.
  • Collaborating with Development, Product, and System Architecture teams to analyze and resolve design and coding challenges.
  • Addressing inquiries from users and technical support regarding software functionalities.
  • Identifying opportunities for process enhancements and root cause analysis, providing actionable recommendations.
  • Supporting cross-functional teams in integrated testing initiatives.
  • Communicating project status and challenges to Project Managers and leadership.
  • Implementing standardized processes, tools, and metrics to ensure successful project delivery that aligns with business objectives.
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing efforts.
  • Providing support for audit requirements.
  • This position is based in our office and may offer flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline, with 8 years of progressive experience in software testing or a related field.
  • Proficiency in functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing, as well as black box and white box testing methodologies.
  • Experience in backend application testing, both manual and automated.
  • Familiarity with automation tools for SOAP, REST, and JSON.
  • Knowledge of GitLab, JIRA, and Eclipse.
  • Experience with Cucumber BDD and TestNG frameworks.
  • Understanding of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in SQL.

This position allows for a hybrid work model, enabling employees to balance remote work with in-office collaboration. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office on designated days, based on business needs.
