Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine WIC eligibility and provide personalized support to clients.
  • Develop and implement effective nutrition and breastfeeding education programs to promote healthy lifestyles and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners to ensure seamless referrals and services.
  • Assist with training and auditing of WIC CPAs, Peer Counselors, and Clerks to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as nutrition, public health, or social work.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field, with a focus on community health and nutrition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Must complete the Nevada State WIC Certified Professional Authority course exam and certificate within three years of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or social services setting.
  • Fluency in a second language, such as Spanish.
