Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join our team at Dayton Freight. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for leading our accounts receivable team and driving results in collections and cash application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of collection analysts to achieve aggressive collections targets and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO)
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve cash application and reduce errors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and operations, to resolve customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction
  • Provide training and guidance to new collection analysts to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the role
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in accounts receivable and collections

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable and collections, with a proven track record of success
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop effective solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
