About the Role

The Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in assisting patients with activities of daily living and delegated procedures. This position requires a strong focus on maintaining a safe and clean environment, ensuring patient-focused care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Perform delegated procedures, such as taking vital signs and administering medications.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with licensed nurses to ensure effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a Patient Care Technician course.
  • Phlebotomy training, including a minimum of 20 patient sticks observed by a Covenant Phlebotomist or Licensed Nurse.
  • Monitor Technician training, including proficiency in cardiac dysrhythmia detection.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • Certified Patient Care Technician from an approved National Certification Agency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of PCT experience.
  • 6 months Phlebotomy experience.
