About This Role:
Baker Publishing Group is seeking applications for the role of Marketing Assistant within the Bethany House and Revell Fiction divisions.
The marketing assistant will collaborate closely with marketing campaign managers, offering essential administrative support throughout the marketing process.
Position Objective:
To assist the fiction marketing department in achieving its goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain databases and project management tools with accurate and current information.
2. Place and monitor warehouse shipping orders and organize internal mailings.
3. Develop advertising strategies and liaise with external vendors and internal stakeholders on behalf of the marketing team, ensuring all deadlines are adhered to.
4. Process vendor contracts and invoices efficiently.
5. Create and modify Adobe files as needed.
6. Build and manage spreadsheets for team and personal data tracking.
7. Facilitate internal communications on behalf of the marketing team.
8. Schedule meetings and organize necessary materials.
9. Provide additional support tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems (e.g., ERP systems, mailing software).
- Working knowledge of database and project management tools preferred (e.g., Asana).
- Strong professional interpersonal communication skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and adhere to schedules.
- Proactive self-starter capable of meeting personal and team deadlines.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is based on qualifications and experience.
