Community Corrections Operations Advisor

Position Overview:

The State of Florida is seeking a dedicated Community Corrections Operations Advisor to join our team. This role is integral to the effective functioning of the Community Corrections sector, providing essential support to the Regional Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research and prepares detailed analyses for special projects as assigned by the Regional Director.
  • Coordinates and compiles responses from various entities, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
  • Manages incoming correspondence, drafting replies that do not require direct attention from the Regional Director.
  • Handles phone inquiries, screening calls and providing necessary information when appropriate.
  • Organizes meetings, prepares agendas, and takes minutes for the Regional Director's meetings.
  • Maintains the Regional Director's calendar, scheduling appointments and travel arrangements as needed.
  • Prepares management reports and assists in the creation of presentations, including PowerPoint materials.
  • Maintains an organized electronic filing system for documentation and correspondence.
  • Assists with financial and accounting tasks as directed by the Field Office Manager.
  • Supports human resources functions, including recruitment and hiring processes.
  • Completes special assignments and projects as directed by the Regional Director.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or its equivalent. Preferred qualifications include demonstrated knowledge and skills relevant to the position.
