We are seeking a skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at SSM Health. In this role, you will be responsible for communicating with patients, participants, and staff to accurately schedule patients for prescribed procedures and gather necessary demographic, insurance, and clinical information.
Key Responsibilities- Gather information from patients and enter it into the appropriate database, seeking resources to resolve issues related to procedure type, date, or location.
- Schedule patient procedures efficiently, utilizing patient time and clinical resources, and coordinate and communicate schedules.
- Assist with insurance pre-certification/authorization coordination.
- Provide counseling to patients, participants, or their representatives regarding pre-service requirements and instructions.
- Perform clerical and reception duties associated with patient registration.
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience.
- No experience required.
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near and far, and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
This is a part-time, day shift position with hours between 8 am and 7 pm, including every other weekend rotation and 2 holidays per year.
Starting pay is $18+/hr, with offers based on years of experience and equity for this role.
Location: Dean Medical Group - Madison North High Point.
