Patient Access Representative

Location: Baltimore, MD

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Patient Access Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in surgical scheduling and will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks including registration and scheduling of outpatient appointments, charge entry, collection of co-pays, and medical records functions. The role may also involve handling referrals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register and schedule outpatient appointments efficiently.
  • Perform charge entry and ensure accurate billing.
  • Collect co-pays and manage patient financial interactions.
  • Maintain and update medical records.
  • Handle patient referrals as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

  • Must have surgical scheduling experience.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare systems.
