**Job Summary**

The Barback - Beverage Support Specialist will provide general support to all bar needs by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate stock levels of products and supplies pertinent to completing duties properly. This role will assist bartenders with various tasks, maintain the bar stock, and provide exceptional customer service.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Anticipate and respond to guests' needs with a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain the bar stock and keep supply areas organized and up to par.
  • Assist bartenders with tasks such as cutting and replenishing fruit trays, stocking liquor, beers, and wines, and providing change when needed.
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol.
  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.
  • Assist guests with beverage and food selection, demonstrating salesmanship with complete product knowledge.
  • Adhere to company policy by measuring all drinks using either the Berg system or a jigger.
  • Serve wine, bottled or draft beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with proper garnishes.
  • Mix ingredients, such as liquor, juice, soda, water, sugar, and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other beverages.
  • Deliver beverage orders to guests throughout the assigned section in a timely manner.
  • Participate in liquor glassware removal, ensuring compliance with all gaming regulations.
  • Accurately account for and collect payment for all drink orders through the POS system in a timely manner.
  • Clean and stock glassware, utensils, and bar equipment.
  • Arrange and clean liquor bottles, beer, fruit trays, and glassware to assure that the bar environment is perceived as clean, organized, and attractive.
  • Clean bars, work areas, and tables.
  • Produce and complete par lists to requisition liquor and supplies.
  • Maintain the lounge and bar area by collecting used glassware, silverware, dishes, ashtrays, and debris.
  • Limit problems related to guests' excessive drinking by providing responsible alcohol service and applying any training from the responsible alcohol certification course.
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • Receive and deliver orders to the appropriate venue/bar.
  • Observe and adhere to Health Department regulations regarding food handling, storage, and cleanliness of the work environment.
  • Abid by all State, State Gaming, Federal, and Corporate liquor Regulations.
  • Use and maintain all assigned areas and equipment in a sanitary, safe, and effective manner.
  • Have consistent attendance at company/restaurant training programs as they are scheduled.
  • Carry out duties with attention to detail, sanitation, and safety.
  • Complete opening, closing, and other side duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Pass all tests given, including training, to retain the knowledge needed to be an effective server.
  • Maintain a well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance.
  • Possess the resiliency to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and possess the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
  • Perform all job functions in conjunction with the guidelines described in the Standard Operating Procedures manual to ensure consistent execution of company and department standards.
