The Role
As a pivotal member of ISMG's Sales Division, the Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in driving the organization’s growth and success. This position focuses on engaging enterprise-level organizations within the cybersecurity sector, understanding their specific organizational and marketing needs, and effectively communicating the value of our offerings.

In this capacity, you will be tasked with generating new business opportunities through comprehensive market and territory analysis, identifying key decision-makers within target accounts, and utilizing various outreach strategies to engage prospects. You will also pre-qualify opportunities and initiate the sales cycle by coordinating appointments for our strategic team to advance through the sales funnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of ISMG's offerings across various business units and acquire a solid foundational knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape to enhance communication with clients.
  • Identify and secure sales appointments with prospective clients through targeted outreach efforts, including cold calls, emails, and networking.
  • Establish and nurture positive business relationships with clients.
  • Meet established KPIs, metrics, and performance outcomes within the designated timeline.
  • Execute the initial stages of ISMG's integrated sales cycle, which includes:
    • Prospecting and Account Mapping
    • Lead Generation and Nurturing Campaigns
    • Opportunity Qualification and Appointment Setting

Qualifications for Success

  • A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree (preferred) in Professional Sales, Marketing/Advertising, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in Business Development or Sales Development roles targeting new customers in a B2B environment.
  • Experience engaging C-suite and other executive decision-makers within enterprise-level organizations, preferably in Marketing, Branding, or Research/Content divisions.
  • A background in marketing and a comprehensive understanding of digital marketing solutions and industry trends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to cultivate productive professional relationships.
  • Formal training in sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, Value Selling, Challenger Selling, or Sandler is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and CRM practices.
  • Exceptional time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt based on feedback to enhance performance.
  • A solution-oriented and results-driven mindset with a commitment to making a significant impact.
