Job Summary

As a Senior Platform Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of software development by integrating development and operations through a comprehensive platform. You will be part of a team that designs and implements development and operational environments, providing a hybrid-cloud backbone for product development and testing. This position requires a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, agile development methodologies, and security best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the transition of a system from a tightly coupled infrastructure to a modern platform infrastructure.
  • Convert strategic initiatives into well-developed plans and objectives, capturing a backlog of features and stories.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to design and implement development and mission solutions.
  • Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability.
  • Leverage company and industry best practices to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management.
  • Ensure security and compliance are integrated into the platform.
  • Provide operational support for the platform.
Requirements
  • A U.S. government TS/SCI / CI Poly issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires a BS/BA Degree in Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or Physics and 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum, SAFe).
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills to successfully work with various teams.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and integrating platform infrastructure services.
  • Experience with containerization using technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker.
  • Experience with troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux based Operating Systems.
  • Experience with VMware.
  • Experience with programming/automation/scripting languages (E.g. Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
  • Able to break down complex ideas into easy-to-understand tasking.
  • Current CompTIA Security + or ability to obtain within 90 days.
